6 The elbow was lifted from the engine and separated from the hose.

7 The Accufab is similar dimensionally to the stock version, but it has more airflow potential thanks to its design.

8 As air enters the stock elbow, it must make a sharp turn to enter the intake manifold.

9 Air is redirected much more smoothly with the Accufab piece.

10 It's necessary to swap over the rubber gasket before installing the new elbow.

11 Once the gasket was in place, we carefully lowered the elbow onto the engine and attached the retaining bolts.

12 Next, we slid the hose over the elbow and tightened the clamp.

13 Then it was ready to run.

On the dyno, the Dually picked up horsepower and torque at the peak and across the entire rpm range.
