Run first with the dual-plane, the new cam increased the power from 489 hp and 502 lb-ft to 528 hp and 525 lb-ft of torque. The final test was to install the CHI intake with the new Cam Research cam. The new cam upped the power output of this combo from 529 hp and 506 lb-ft to an amazing 568 hp and 542 lb-ft. The new cam improved the power output from 3,000 rpm to 6,500 rpm, a sure sign that the guys at Cam Research understand what it takes to make a true performance cam profile.
