Next we installed 1-inch long-tube headers from American Racing. Equipped with the headers, the 5.4L produced 663 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. Interestingly enough, the peak boost pressure dropped down to 7.2 psi. (Editor's note--Don't even think about asking to increase the boost pressure to match the 10 psi on the stock exhaust manifolds. That the boost dropped is a sure sign that a restriction was removed, and in proper testing, only one change is made per test.) View Related Article
