We called up Fel Pro for the needed 1006 head gaskets. Your author hasn't had much luck with rear main seals lately, and the fresh one in the Recession Special leaked a palm-sized spot of oil every time you shut the car off. After chatting with our man at Fel Pro, he suggested we use Fel Pro's Teflon coated rear main seal (PN 2941). So far, we've had no leaks, and we may be ordering a couple more of these for some of our other project cars. View Related Article
