We were thoroughly impressed with the 168 hp and 169 lb-ft of torque that our Recession Special picked up. This was with just 19 degrees of total timing and 10.5 psi of boost. As you can see from the graph, we encountered a misfire toward the end of the pull, and discovered the coil and distributor to be the culprits. We'll attempt to remedy this in a future article.
