Here's a dyno graph of the "before" testing. Power is admirable at 386.13, with torque checking in at 366.78. If you look at the torque curve, though, you can see the noticeable dip early on in the dyno run, and how choppy it is the entire way through.

The key to the TVS making more power at lower boost levels revolves around the efficiency of the blower as compared to the M122. Here, you can see how much cooler the TVS is compared to the M122. Cooler thermal efficiencies lead to lower air inlet temps and more power. It's as simple as that.

While the power increase with the TVS is astounding in itself, even more amazing is the smooth and linear torque curve. At the rear tires, the Pony kicked out 546.33 hp and 549.59 lb-ft of torque-an increase of 160.20 rwhp and 182.81 rwtq. The torque curve is smooth throughout the entire dyno run, and the dip that was there in the "before" graph has disappeared.

2008 Ford Mustang Roush Quarter Mile Time
With a best lap of an 11.84 at 119 miles per hour before the swap, MM&FF test pilot Evan Smith banged gears in the Roush at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. On a less-than-ideal day, the Mustang rolled to an 11.58 at 123 mph. That's an improvement of 0.260 second and 4 mph. Imagine what the car could have run if the weather conditions were ripe for making gobs of horsepower.
