The AFRs were equipped with... The AFRs were equipped with a valvespring upgrade that allowed them to not only accept the relatively high-lift XE274HR cam, but also eliminate any chance of valve float. The AFR 185s get their name... The AFR 185s get their name from the intake port volume that measures 185 cc. Our heads were further treated to the Competition Package that upped the intake port flow from 273 cfm to 287 cfm, at 0.600 lift. Even more impressive than the flow figures was that the flow rate offered by the AFRs have always translated directly into power gains. The Competition package also... The Competition package also improved the exhaust flow, upping the peak numbers from 191 cfm to an amazing 231 cfm, all measured at 0.600 lift.
