Removing the exhaust from an IRS Cobra is much easier than on a solid-axle Fox-4 car because the pipes are below the rear axle. By sliding off a few rubber hangers, the entire after-cat was on the ground in minutes. Another 15 ticks of the minute hand and the catalytic converter assembly was also on the ground. Side by side, the stock system (left) uses small-diameter pipes and four catalytic converters, which aren't the model for efficiency or weight savings. Check out the aftermarket mufflers and tips that the previous owner had installed. The soundtrack was nice, but by leaving the stock pipes in place, the exhaust system was still restrictive.
