Flex A Lite Xtreme Electric Fan
Electric Fans are often the first mod that starts to tax the stock charging system. Half the time, used pieces from newer cars are pirated and installed, and while they will eliminate the drag on the engine, they do pull on the charging system more than necessary. This is Flex-a-lite's Xtreme electric fan designed specifically for your 5.0 Mustang. The fan draws just 18 amps of current, and comes complete with everything you need for a neat, factory-like installation.

Remove the two bolts holding the top of the fan shroud to the radiator and then wiggle the fan off of the water pump. Lift both pieces at the same time out of the engine compartment.

Flex A Lite Bracket Install
Install The supplied water-reservoir bracket, followed by the two upper brackets. Leave the upper bracket with the holes in it loose, so you can adjust the fan position when you go to mount it. Now you can bolt up the bottom L brackets and spacers, which you'll also want to leave slightly loose.

Ford Mustang Fan Belt And Bolt
As Do most enthusiasts we know, we installed the electric fan first, mostly because it was the biggest job of the three items we were installing. After disconnecting the negative battery cable, loosen the four fan bolts with the serpentine belt still attached. Then remove the belt and the bolts.
