On The other side of the framerail, we took advantage of the extra O2 bungs on the Dynatech midpipe and installed the oxygen sensor in the unused port. If you don't have this option, then you'll need to weld in a bung for the sensor.

Next, We needed to find a place to mount the XD-16 gauge. We didn't have an A-pillar pod handy, so we opted to stick it to the dash right behind the steering wheel. This put it directly in our line of sight with the rest of the gauges, which made it easier for us to keep tabs on everything.

Hp Technician Jason Combs attached the bundle of wires to a coat hanger and slid it down through the dash to pull the wires through.

We Needed to bring the wiring from the LC-1 into the interior cabin, so Combs drilled a hole in the floor just large enough to get the wire bundle through. He then used a rubber grommet to seal the hole up. Check beneath the floor to make sure you're not drilling into any wiring or fuel lines before you get started.

The LC-1'S wiring bundle was routed through the floor and up the kick panel.

Innovate Uses a daisy-chain setup with its modular tuning system. With this setup, you can connect a myriad of devices in a single line, all of which can be logged by the DL-32. Our LC-1 connects to the XD-16, which connects to the DL-32, all using the provided stereo cable.

The DL-32, LC-1, and XD-16 ground wires are connected to the chassis using this existing bracket beneath the dash.

The Blue and white wires should all be grounded to the same source, and although these grounds are of the same source, the blue wire should be wired separate from the white to avoid analog ground noise. We tapped into the fuse panel for our needed 12-volt switched power source.

The Provided SD card stores all of your datalogs. Once you've loaded the software into your computer, you can insert the SD flash memory card from the DL-32 into your PC or laptop and check out your logs.

You'll Want to mount the DL-32 datalogger in an easily accessible place so you can pull the memory card to download your logs. You can also hide it and use a serial cable to connect to your laptop. We mounted ours at the bottom of the dash in the center.

Before You use the Innovate system, you'll need to calibrate the LC-1 in free-air mode. This is done by leaving the oxygen sensor out of the pipe and following the sequence on the XD-16. Then you can reinstall it and start the truck. Once you twist the key, the XD-16 will perform its heat calibration countdown and then start measuring your air/fuel ratio.

We've Installed Innovate's modular tuning system before and it usually starts metering right away. With this install, we went into the Logworks software and changed the multiplier for the Lambda readout so it would measure the air/fuel ratio properly. The Logworks software is extremely easy to use, and once you record a few logs, you'll have a lot of fun tuning your ride.

With The XD-16 reading the appropriate gasoline air/fuel ratio, we began recording the data, which was as simple as pushing the record button on the XD-16 to start and stop the log.

The DL-32 can read 32 channels of data and store 17 minutes of recording per MB of the included SD flash memory card. Its built-in one- to three-bar pressure sensor (MAP, vacuum, boost, and so on) is perfect for supercharged applications like our highly modified SVT Lightning. With the Logworks software, you can set up your logs to read as gauges, which can be maneuvered around the screen according to your preference.

Using The graph mode, you can overlay your logs to compare changes in the recorded data channels.
