We wired the intercooler into... We wired the intercooler into the fuse box. The pump was wired to a key-on hot lead using the supplied fuse tap. We mounted the heat exchanger... We mounted the heat exchanger in front of the A/C condenser and plumbed it to the intercooler pump. The last bit of wiring that... The last bit of wiring that needed to be done was a lengthening of the throttle-position switch, which plugs into the right side of the throttle body. To safeguard against problems, we heat-shrinked the connection between the old and new wires. It was time to button up things.... It was time to button up things. We began by reinstalling the front bumper and plugging in the parking and foglights. The final result is the old-school... The final result is the old-school look of the polished Magna Charger. Would this two-day install yield impressive results? Darn right it would! Pumping... Darn right it would! Pumping in only 4.25 pounds of boost, the Mustang's rear-wheel-horsepower numbers shot up almost 140 ponies, to 416 rwhp. D'Amore says that with a pulley swap and a change to the mass air sensor and fuel system, this car can pump out 450 rwhp or more. Bada Boost! If only adding... Bada Boost! If only adding this much horsepower was so easy! After spending two days swapping over this Mustang from a stock, naturally aspirated setup to a forced-induction one with the installation of a Magnuson Magna Charger supercharger, we increased horsepower by almost 140 at the rear tires. As you can see in Graph 1, in bone-stock trim, the car dynoed at 279.05 rwhp and 302.82 rwtq. After getting the tune correct... After getting the tune correct with the blower on, the same car now thumped out 416.78 rwhp and 385.08 rwtq with the help of the blower (Graph 2), which equals out to be an increase of 137.73 rwhp and 82.26 rwtq. As you can see in Graph 3,... As you can see in Graph 3, the addition of the blower allowed the car to make more power not only at peak, but throughout the entire range.
