It took some design work by JDM Engineering to rid the stock airbox, but in the end, it was all worth it. Jim D'Amore swapped out the factory MAF sensor, airbox, and air inlet tube with a JDM-designed 116mm MAF sensor and fresh-air kit. The kit includes a smoothed air inlet tube and an unshrouded airbox complete with a K&N filter. D'Amore also had to rework the tune to take advantage of the new kit and MAF sensor.
