Phil Watson of JPC Racing torques down the heads. The top torque sequence is: 25 ft-lb, 45 ft-lb, and finally 70 ft-lb. The bottom torque sequence is 25 ft-lb, 45 ft-lb, and then 65 ft-lb. These numbers are done because the head is aluminum. Be sure to start with the middle bolts and work your way out. Start with 25 ft-lb and work your way around the head. Then go to 45 ft-lb and then the final torque-down sequence. This will apply even pressure as it gets tighter and tighter. View Related Article
