The cam sprockets fit only one way onto the camshafts. Just make sure you have the correct cam with the correct head, and the correct sprocket with the correct cam. Then torque them to 30 ft-lb followed by a 90-degree turn. There are two bronze links-one to match up with the mark on the cam sprocket and one to match up with the dot marked on the crank sprocket. Be careful when removing and... Be careful when removing and reinstalling the coolant temperature sensor into the cylinder head. Ours snapped off without the slightest warning or amount of applied torque. The timing cover requires... The timing cover requires a couple of dabs of gasket sealer where the head and cam cover meet. Seat the timing cover onto... Seat the timing cover onto the block and then install all of the fasteners loosely until they are all in. Blow-By recommends installing... Blow-By recommends installing an aftermarket harmonic damper/underdrive pulley like this one from Granatelli Motor Sports (PN BBR-GM-UP05, $189.95), which is SFI approved. It is lighter and smaller than the stocker and should help the mod motor rev faster. An underdrive water pump pulley accompanies the damper, but the kit utilizes the stock serpentine belt. As you reinstall the A/C compressor,... As you reinstall the A/C compressor, power steering, and water pumps, you'll need to grind down this alternator bolt to clear the water pump pulley. The coolant crossover tube... The coolant crossover tube and alternator can then be installed. Since we were using BBR's... Since we were using BBR's powdercoated cam covers, we needed to transfer the various seals and filler tube from the old ones. The cam covers install quite... The cam covers install quite easily. It's mostly a matter of maneuvering the wiring harnesses to get them in. Install the airbox and tube,... Install the airbox and tube, connect the battery, and prime the fuel pump a few times to check for leaks. The car will run pretty well, but you'll need to have it tuned prior to driving it as it will be moving a lot more air and could possibly lean out. The intake manifold is bolted... The intake manifold is bolted on, the fuel rails and injectors are installed, and all of the wiring connections are reattached.
