Everything is covered, and... Everything is covered, and all tubes, ignition parts, and everything else are back on the engine. Here's a close-up of the cam... Here's a close-up of the cam followers. The cam sensor is reinstalled... The cam sensor is reinstalled on the driver side, and the computer wire is hooked up to it. If you leave it unplugged, the car will idle but will act funny when you rev it. The hesitation and misfire are unmistakable. Baseline pulls resulted in... Baseline pulls resulted in a best of 377.51 hp and 401.08 lb-ft of torque at the rear tires. With just the cam swap-no tuning whatsoever-the power shot up to 411.67 rhwp. Torque dropped a bit, because of the lack of fuel, to 386.4 lb-ft. That was all remedied in a few moments with some tuning adjustments. The final numbers are impressive.... The final numbers are impressive. Our test vehicle ended up recording a maximum horsepower figure of 436.84, while torque picked up a few lb-ft at peak with a 403.36 reading. Peak numbers are one thing, but as you analyze output with the F-42 cams, it is as much as 57 lb-ft higher at several spots on the results. Those are noticeable gains you will see on the dragstrip. Ready to run on the dyno.... Ready to run on the dyno. It takes only a few minutes... It takes only a few minutes to make changes to the fuel and timing curves using the PMS. Dez added some fuel to clear up the air/fuel ratio readings, and on the last few pulls he had 2 more degrees of timing over our baseline of 12 degrees.
