The converter that PA chose for our car is actually a stock unit that has been loosened up approximately 600 rpm to increase the stall speed on the line. Before, we were maxed out at 2,500 rpm while powerbraking, but we can effortlessly hold the car to 3,000 rpm with the looser PA converter. Unfortunately, if you try to stall the car to 3,000 rpm at the line for an extended period of time, the computer may lock the transmission in first gear. This dictates that you either flash the converter or powerbrake it to a lower rpm. Our easy fix was to just shift the unit manually, which solved all the problems. View Related Article
