GRRRRRRRRR
I love my last 3 mustangs but after reading this in the car and driver mag (I believe this was the mag)I'm angry. I saw that the v6 will have 319 and the top camaro will have 425. Has Ford said anything about the new mustangs? Will it match or exceed hp in both engines? What sucks to when I read the article is the price range is 22,000 to 35,000. If I bought a v6 through some mods on, it would be faster and still be under the dollar amount I paid for my 06 gt. Anyone else have any news

I am forced to sell the car because my wife and I recently had triplets and my priorities have switched from Mustang to station wagon. I hate to have to get rid of this car, I have sweated, toiled and put so much time, energy and cash into this car that it breaks my heart to see it go. If I could sit on it for fifteen years and finish it out when time and finances allow, I would. So here is your chance to pick up a well planned, 85% complete hot rod for the summer for a fraction of what it would cost to do it from scratch on your own. I commissioned Matt Compton at Performance Solutions in Boise ID to build me the ultimate understated blower motor. It was built with all forged internals, with an Eagle stroker kit to make 331 cubes, a lumpy roller cam cut just for a centrifugally blown stroker motor, and all the main girdles, roller rockers, and high volume oil pumps to support the fun. Half of my asking price is in the motor internals and rebuild cost alone. So, Matt built a VERY stout motor that put out 430 horses on his engine dyno with a Peformer RPM manifold and 750cfm carb through the mufflers. This is a motor with 8.8:1 compression, running regular unleaded with no blower or fuel injection. The car idles well with a decent lope to it, and the Vortech V2-SQ (S-trim |12-14 pounds of boost at sea level| Quiet) blower is very quiet and makes just the slightest whirring noise at idle. I only got a chance to break the motor in (no boost) and have only driven it about another 300 miles after doing the break in oil change at 500 miles. I put a 3500 rpm chip in the rev limiter (MSD 6-BTM) and pulled the blower belt off during break in so that temptation wouldn't get the better of me. The car sounds wicked and looks just as mean, the pictures don't do it justice. So, strap all the goodies back on and throw it into the car, and immediately after getting the car back, I learn that my wife is pregnant. With three boys. Foolishly, I tell myself that I can have three boys AND my hot rod Mustang. Well, five months after they are born, I realize that there won't be the financial freedom anymore that got this car to the point it is at. This brings us to today, and this car being up for sale. Check the list below to see the ridiculously long list of parts I have put on the car/ have to be put on the car still. So, sounds too good to be true right? 35K worth of car, work and parts for 10 grand, OBO? Well, here is the bad news... Don't worry it's not too awful... Obviously, first thing you see on the car, it's all black, but some is shiny, some is primer. I replaced the sagging bumper covers (common problem on a fox body) and the hood and front fenders had some damage that looked like someone left the front half poking out of the garage during a good hail storm. I planned to replace the hood with something more aggressive anyway, and I HATE doing body work, so I replaced the fenders when I did the hood. The trunk lid had a goofy looking luggage rack, so I pulled that off when I added the Saleen whale tail. Yes, the car needs paint to be finished. Second, the transmission is on it's way out. It whines and grinds some, apparently, the stock T-5 was not meant to handle 600 odd horses... go figure. So, if you want to buy, I would not plan to drive the car home. The silver lining you ask? I have a truck and trailer, and will deliver the car within a reasonable distance, provided you fuel the truck and me. Third, it is an unfinished project, so there are a few odds and ends that need to be finished. Door sill plates need to be installed, but they are polished aluminum, and I didn't want to put them on and scratch them up so they are waiting to go on last. Also, the intercooler water pump has the wiring run, but is not hooked into a power source yet. I haven't filled the intercooler system with coolant yet, because I was contemplating going with a bigger coolant tank like HP Performances quarter mile cooler that goes in the spare tire well (http://www.musclemustangfastfords.com/tech/mmfp_0806_hp_performance_quarter_mile_cooler_install/index.html), and since the car had not really seen much boost, the intercooling was not important. And last, the car needs the pass side lock solenoid replaced, which I have a new solenoid, just didn't get it replaced yet (actually I have a solenoid for the driver's side too) which is another common problem on fox bodies. So check out this list, and email me if you want to know more, need more pictures, etc. I have been told that parting out the car would probably get more money, but after putting so much time and effort into planning and putting her together, it would kill me to tear it down. So, if you have a 86-95 Mustang and need some speed parts, then here is all the parts you need. I was planning on doing a little clearancing and getting a second set of lightweight rims with at least 275 section drag radials to try to get it to hook at the track. My grand plan was to get the Aeromotive fuel system (PN 17106), a TFS Box R manifold or BBK SSI-R, an AFM power pipe, 42 lb injectors, long tube headers and a three inch exhaust, a HP Performance spare tire well mount intercooler tank, and a D&D Viper-spec T-56 trans. I was actually trying to model it after John Garner’s Mustang (check it out at www.superstang.com,) but as I said before, priorities have changed. Please feel free to email any questions or requests. Again, I am asking 9500 for this car, but I will entertain any reasonable offer. I am asking 9500 or any REASONABLE offer. I know that I will never come close to recouping money invested, time spent or sentimental value, but the car DOES have lots of speed parts, and is mechanically (save for the tranny) brand new from front to back. If you are going to make an offer, don't be that guy from the swap meet that offered me 4000 because the car needs paint. Come close to my asking price, or don't come at all. I don't mean to come across as a jerk, but 4000 for this car is insulting. The blower and intercooler cost 4000. Thanks for reading my posting, and please email with any questions or to set up a time to come out and look at this car! I've heard you lose bottom but gain top end. Motors leaning out too much, motors running in fail safe, etc. If any of this is true then they can be corrected with a tuner correct? I really don't like the extra weight and the overdrive doesn't really help much. So should I keep the C6 or go with something different? I would like to stick with an automatic and street drive ability. Also what stall should I have? Gears of choice are 3:55. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I don't like about the car (other than the wimpy V6) is the nose. I'd like to use the Cobra body kit on the car but the current LX stlying won't allow it. I realize that I need GT bumper covers and trim but I can't attach them because my 86 has the old inset head lights. I need some help here. Can I just buy the head light mounts, bumper covers, and trim? Or is there some other modifications I'll need to make. And any tips or tricks I can pick up on restoring these cars would be helpfull too...Thanx! For those who care... Future plans for the car: Starting with the body. As you read I want the Cobra side skirts, fender flairs, and bumber covers. The SVO scoop style hood with ram air fuctionality. I have a small wing on the trunk deck wich I think I'll keep. I want to use the SVO tail lights (they remind me of classic exotic car lights like found on the Ferrari Testarossa). I've got a set of chrome projector head lamps. A set of 18in chrome or black bullet wheels. I'm torn between the two and I'm open to suggestions. Replacing the convertible top for a black one. Tinting the glass dark obviously. Finally spraying the car in a HOK Pearlescent Lime Green. The interior is getting the black leather treatment and the dash will be fiber glassed and sprayed with gloss black and lime green accents to match the exterior. Lots of billet! That stuff is purdy. Finally dropping the 3.8 for a 5.0 stroked out as close to 5.7 as I can get still using pump fuel. I'd like a 5 speed with a 9 bolt rear backing it up. Mustang II front suspension and Eibach Coil Overs all around. I want my vert to be as much of a show stopper as it is a track car. And again any suggestions I'm totally open to. I'll try and post pix on here and Car Domain as I go. Thanx for reading! - PJ

It only has 400 miles on it so I haven't run it at the strip yet...needs a little break in first. The Bullitt has a factory cold air kit and 3:73 gears. What little I've read thus far, the computer tune is specific to the Bullitt and it may already have been tweeked. It makes a factory 315 hp. So I have been trying to fix this throttle hesitation bull crap that my stang is doing so i figured running fuel injector cleaner in it may help. so i used it and filled up the pony. Started driving it around, then stopped to talk to a few guys and let it sit and idle for about 10 to 15 minutes until i decided to leave. So i left and got on it a little and it felled like dog crap, didnt even grab second :( Then I looked at my temp gauge and it was reading 220 degrees. knowing that is to hot i immediately pulled over and shut it off. I got out and released pressure from the system from my radiator cap. Then i saw it all bubbling in the puke tank when i pooped the cap off of it and antifreeze started leaking on the ground. I honestly have no clue where it was coming from but it looks like either somewhere on the backside of the puke tank or on the bottom of the radiator. Well it stopped after the pressure the pressure was all out. so i started it back up and the temp guage started to drop to the normal 200 degrees. so i drove it home gently and it stayed right at 200 and really did not go above that. pulled in to the house and NO leaks. I just changed the thermostat about a month and a half ago but never know could be sticking not sure. I am boggled about it so sorry this is so long but just wanted to give the full scenerio. so if anyone knows please give me feedback. thanks
