1995 Mustang GT Project CMC Part 4 - Road Race Tuning A Mustang GT Suspension
An assortment of front and rear sway bars is essential in the race tuner's bag of tricks. The CMC rules limit choices to OEM stock offerings, but parts can be mixed and matched between '94-'04 model years. This opens a wide array ranging from 27 mm to 30 mm solid and tubular front bars, and 19 mm up to 27 mm rear bars. We narrowed our choices (L-R, from softest to stiffest) to a 27 mm tubular V-6 bar, a 30 mm tubular GT bar, and a 27 mm solid Mach 1 bar. For the rear, we gathered solid bars in increments 19 mm, 21 mm and 23 mm. Different tracks often require different setups. We've found our car works best with the softest bar in the front and the middle bar in the rear at most tracks. View Related Article
