Here is our new rear main seal, along with the new pilot bearing in the center. Be careful not to damage either of them during their installations, as they can cause problems later on that require you to drop the whole transmission and clutch again.

The engine block plate goes on next. It is secured to the bell housing once that is installed.

The Clutch Masters flywheel comes with 28 and 50oz. counterweights. We used the 50oz. for our application.

Apply some thread locker to the flywheel bolts and tighten them to the factory recommended torque specifications.

The Kevlar disk is then installed using the supplied alignment tool. This will make sure everything lines up when you go to install the tranny.

With the flywheel and clutch disk on, go ahead and mount the pressure plate. It will rest on the supplied dowel pins in the flywheel until you can secure it with bolts.

Now is a good time to clean any grime that may have accumulated on the transmission and/or bellhousing. Having a parts cleaner comes in handy, but some degreaser or gasoline will get the job done.

With the bellhousing installed, you can insert the clutch fork (now wearing the new throw-out bearing) and clip it onto the pivot ball. Reconnecting the clutch cable at this point can aid in getting the transmission to go in easily. Even when using the alignment tool, the tranny can sometimes put up a fight. Depressing the clutch pedal can make it easier for the tranny to align itself and slide into place.

Coat the throw-out bearing retainer on the transmission with a liberal, but not sloppy, amount of antiseize. This will keep the bearing sliding properly.
