Being touted as the world's first high-performance sport-utility truck or SUT, the 2007 Explorer Sport Track Adrenalin is Ford's first sport truck offering the combination of utility, four-passenger capability and true performance. Adrenalin continues SVT's product momentum that has been growing since the Ford GT super car was introduced in 2004.
What you need to know is this: 390-supercharged horsepower from a 32-valve, 4.6-liter V8 (sound familiar), a six-speed automatic box good for a projected 6,000-lb towing capacity (not so familiar but cool), four doors, a four-foot pickup bed, a 60/40 split all-wheel-drive system, and 21-inch wheels wearing half of the world's rubber supply.
Taking the best parts from the SVT F-150 Lightning and Explorer Sport Trac, the Adrenalin is like a more useful Lightning, except it's also a few hundred pounds lighter according to Ford. Throw in SVT's top-notch brakes and suspension tuning and you've got one hot little SUT. Stay tuned as we bring you more on SVT's latest creation.
