The JLT kit allows the stock MAF sensor housing to be reused. They include this ring in order to adapt the large open element air filter to the end of the housing. Radovich reminded us that using an air filter is critical for performance; it helps straighten the air out before it goes into the meter. Rough air will cause a bad reading for the computer and the car will idle and run poorly. View Related Article
