You're cruising in your Mustang, listening to the supercharger whistle, and knowing that with the flick of your right foot, the rear tires of your Pony will disappear in a billowing cloud of smoke. You roll up to a stoplight and wait patiently for the light to turn green. While sitting there idling, you notice in your rearview mirror another Stang rolling up in the lane next to you. Being a connoisseur of the Mustang world, you watch as the car slows to a halt. You glance over to nod at the driver. Instead of the typical (or anticipated) gentleman sitting behind the wheel, there's a cute chick rocking out to the music blasting from the radio. Although you think you're bad to the bone, she smokes you and your Stang, catching a nice "chirp" in Second and Third. The fact is, there's nothing hotter than a lady in a Mustang. With that in mind, we put out the call for our latest installment of the Ladies' Edition, and the female Mustang-owning population didn't disappoint. Ruth Van Boven Duncan, British Columbia, Canada '89 Mustang Ruth Van Boven's '89 5.0 Stang showcases a host of goodies to go along with its good looks. A BBK cold-air kit and headers coupled with a B303 cam and Flowmasters give the Pony some giddy-up. A paint job and slick Centerline wheels combine with a JVC head unit and Infinity speakers to improve the visual and audio portions of the Stang. | Alison Wadley San Antonio, TX, '98 Mustang Cobra Alison Wadley loves the Longhorns almost as much as her Cobra. The snake sports a Steeda Stage III suspension, 4.10 gears, and a Vortech supercharger pushing 6 pounds of boost. Add a killer paint job and a proven 420 rwhp, and this snake strikes with some serious venom. | Alana Evans Woodland Hills, CA '06 Mustang GT Alana Evans' Mustang sports some rarified touches and a shockingly bright-pink paint scheme. Created by the folks at Galpin Auto Sports, this Pony features Eibach lowering springs, a billet grille from CDC, and 20-inch rims of the Blingz Ghostrider design wrapped in Nitto rubbers. Inside, a six-disc changer, a five-channel amp, and a 10-inch subwoofer combine to thump out the tunes for top-down cruising. As for the paint, it's a one-off color mixed exclusively for GAS. Talk about being pretty in pink! | Jennifer Gould Greenlawn, NY '03 Mustang GT Jennifer Gould has had a Mustang in her possession since she first bought her '91 LX. After cruising in a '94 GT, Jennifer picked up her current love, an '03 GT. The SN-95 is enhanced with a billet grille, 17x10-inch rims, a Flowmaster exhaust, a MAC cold-air kit, 3.73 gears, and a host of other goodies. | Jen Sharlow St. Paul, MN '06 Mustang GT Convertible Jen Sharlow's job as a marketing agent for haunted attractions and events pretty much ensured she'd end up with a car that strikes fear into the heart of all. Enter her black-on-black drop-top '06 S197, which features an aftermarket hood, 18-inch chrome Pony rims, and a bunch more visual appointments. To overcome the noise of the wind rushing by when the top is down, Jen listens to the tunes via an Eclipse Navigation/CD/DVD head unit. | Nadia Euliss Raham, NC '65 Shelby Daytona and '03 mustang GT Nadia Euliss is one lucky Southerner. She bought her '03 GT brand-new, and her dad bought her the '65 Shelby Daytona. The Mustang sports a C&L ported and polished upper intake, throttle body, cold-air kit, and pulleys, as well as a full exhaust and exterior improvements such as the cowl hood, Steeda spoiler, and Mach 1 chin spoiler. The Shelby is more involved in the modifications department, so we'll just say this thing is wicked fast. | Michelle And Teresa Frizziola Staten Island, NY '06 Mustang GT Staten Island gets a bad rap, but after seeing the Frizziola twins posing next to their '06 Mustang GT, we think Staten Island is awesome! The girls' Mustang is equipped with lowering springs, a ProCharger blower, MAC long-tube headers, and a Corsa exhaust. Good thing the girls are prepping to get into the NYPD. They won't have to worry about speeding tickets! | Nicole Brauer Madison, WI '04 Mustang Cobra Convertible All we have to say is that any lady who sells her '89 Mustang GT for an '04 Cobra drop-top is a lady worth marrying. Nicole Brauer's Terminator has too many mods to list, but suffice it to say, the blown snake has thrown down a best rear-wheel-horsepower figure of 470. Now that's smoking. | Tinzy Smith Montgomery, TX '92 Mustang GT Tinzy Smith's Fox-body is stocked with a host of go-fast goodies. The '92 now sports '93 Cobra bodywork and a Saleen rear wing. A GT-40 crate motor resides under the hood. Coupled with a set of 17-inch Cobra rims, this car looks and sounds mean. Soon to come is a Nitrous Supply fogger system. | Maggy Palmer Cincinnati, OH '91 Mustang LX Maggy Palmer and her husband have turned her '91 LX into one mighty machine. The Fox-body has been beefed up with a 65mm throttle body, a cold-air kit, BBK pulleys, and shorty headers and x pipe system from MAC. Flowmaster mufflers finish off the exhaust note, while a Sonic Blue paint job combine with interior enhancements, such as the '04 GT seats. | Crystal New Columbia, MD '03 Mustang GT Crystal New's '03 SN-95 showcases a few modifications to improve the feel of the Stang. A throttle body, an upper plenum, and SpinTech mufflers help out the power of the Two-Valve, while white 17-inch Cobra Rs wrapped in Nitto NT555Rs give people something else to look at besides Crystal sitting behind the wheel. | Rachel Schutte St. Louis, MO '06 Mustang GT Rachel Schutte's dad won this '06 Mustang GT and promptly gave it to her. While the car is bone-stock right now, future plans call for a cold-air intake and other visual components needed to turn Rachel's S197 into a show car. | Jennifer Grasser Garden City, MO '06 Mustang GT Jennifer Grasser says her '06 GT is the first new car she has ever owned. We compliment her choice, as well as the functional hoodscoop. Expected future improvements call for a cold-air kit and a set of window louvers for that Mach 1 nostalgic look. | Zeke Burchfield Latrobe, PA '95 Mustang Convertible Zeke Burchfield's V-6 ragtop has its stock body worked over with a Saleen body kit. Under the hood, the buzzin' half-dozen is topped with a cold-air kit, while the 8.8-inch rear has a new set of 3.73s in it. Zeke's husband, Rick, bought the car for her for Christmas. We'd love to know how he fit it down the chimney. | Shelley and Becky Rosner Florissant, MO '06 Mustang GT (Shelley) and '07 Mustang (Becky) The family who plays together stays together. After owning a few Mustangs prior, Mom Shelley Rosner picked up the '06 GT, which is now equipped with a cold-air intake, exhaust system, and Granatelli Motor Sports suspension modifications. Daughter Becky got in the act when she picked up her '07 V-6 Mustang, which as of now, remains stock-but not for long. |
