Tom Brandl • Pleasant Valley, NY • 1991 LX Mustang
Since the age of 16, Tom Brandl has owned this clean '91 LX convertible, which sported 64,000 original miles. Now, 13 years later, it only has 75,000 miles and features a 21/2-inch cowl hood and Weld wheels on all four corners. Underneath the hood, Brandl ditched the factory 302 in favor of a 349ci stroker engine. Other mods consists of a Typhoon intake, AFR aluminum heads, Hooker full-length headers, and Mac mufflers. In naturally aspirated trim, Brandl's LX put out 500 rwhp. He just recently installed a Procharger supercharger and hopes to be above 600 hp. We hope so too.
Chris Caldwell • Indianapolis, IN • 1995 Mustang GT
Chris Caldwell is the proud owner of this clean five-speed '95 GT. He recently installed a 351 Windsor engine, bored and stroked to 410 ci. Air Flow Research 185 heads, and a Trick Flow Specialties R-series intake and 75mm throttle body help feed cool air. A Tremec 3550 transmission is used for shifting, and the rearend has been upgraded with 31-spline Moser axles and 3.73 gears. Caldwell had his ride tuned by Alternative Automotive, and it cranked out an impressive 475 rwhp and 615 lb-ft of torque on a 100 shot of nitrous. Keep up the good work, Caldwell.
Lois Ciballos • Las Vegas, NV • 2007 Mustang GT500
For Lois Ciballos of Las Vegas, turning a wrench on her '07 Shelby GT500 is all part of the fun. Not new to the SVT scene, having previously owned a '97 Cobra, both her and her husband started their mechanical love affair early on. Stepping up to the GT500, Ciballos has added some tasteful mods, including a JLT CAI, VMP supercharger pulley, aftermarket throttle body, 3.73 gears, and an AFCO heat exchanger. According to Ciballos, her Stang puts out 620 rwhp and runs 11-second e.t.'s down the 1,320.
Geoff Settles • Tucson, AZ • 2006 Mustang GT
Geoff Settles of Tucson, Arizona, sent us pictures of his '06 GT. He's modified his ride with a JLT CAI and complementing Bama 91-octane race tune, Borla Cat-Back exhaust, and 4.10 gears. The exterior has been upgraded with sequential taillights, a rear blackout panel, Redline hood struts, and Bullitt 18x9 wheels on all four corners. We think it looks great, Geoff.
