Best 60-foot of the day was a 1.66, but a slipping belt hurt overall performance. On our last run of the day the crew from ProCharger asked us to experiment with shift points and it cost us the blower belt. As it turns out the chip in this Cobra had the rev limiter turned up to about 7,200 and we shifted around 7,000. Unfortunately, that pushed the impeller up to about 75,000 rpm, which was a bit much for the belt-drive system. ProCharger says the limit is about 70,000 rpm, which is about 6,500 rpm worth of engine speed. View Related Article
