The Mustang now employs a true MacPherson strut-style suspension, with a rear-facing L-arm and the spring mounted to the strut. Note, how the front sway bar is now mounted to the strut tower. L-arms are light weight aluminum, but are as strong as a traditional stamped-steel piece. View Related Article
