It is hard to believe but Randy Thomas’ ’10 Shelby GT500 goes 9.40s. It has a TH400 three-speed transmission, Kenne Bell 3.6L supercharger, custom camshafts, and tuning by Kurgan Motorsports. There are some other items like drag racing suspension mods, slicks and skinnies, and long-tube headers with a 3-inch exhaust system. But outside of that it is a factory Shelby GT500 right down to the long-block (save for the cams). Thomas averaged 9.55 through three consecutive runs and finished fifth overall.
