Mustangs from all over the Sunshine State and beyond converged on the grounds of Steeda Autosports in Pompano Beach, Florida, for its annual customer appreciation event. Your Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords staff was on hand to take in the sights and sounds.
This year's Steeda Stampede was rescheduled later in the year, but the turnout didn't disappoint. Normally, the Stampede features a cruise to the Ford Power Festival at Moroso Motorsports Park, however the newly renovated, and renamed, Palm Beach International Raceway had not completed its updates when the original Stampede date came around. Steeda made a valiant effort to postpone the Stampede to hold out for the track event, but unfortunately, it had to forgo the usual cruise to the dragstrip and hot track action.
We suspect that the event will return to the strip in 2009, as proven on-track performance is one of Steeda's attributes. For this year, the Stampede at 1351 NW Steeda Way turned it up a few notches with a DJ and an open dynamometer that was begging for Mustang horsepower.
We're sure Steeda will be doing this again next year, so if you're anywhere in Florida, or you're looking for a late season vacation destination, visit www.steeda.com for information on next year's event.

A host of Ford GT owners showed up to the party, one of which claimed something like 1,700 hp from its twin turbocharged powerplant. We'll take the Gulf livery GT with its polished huffer and CCW wheels.

The dyno had a running line of willing Mustang owners looking to test their ride's medal, including this '93 coupe. We suspected it had low miles given the overall mint condition of the car. While it only made some 230 rwhp, everyone was checking it out. Fox-body Mustangs are still cool as ever.

Neil Hershorin of Palm Beach...

Neil Hershorin of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, brought out his American Iron Extreme Mustang for everyone to check out. Aside from the massive wheel tire combo hidden under the fender flairs, the Mustang packs 351 Windsor power under the hood.
