Tim Casto gave his colt the... Tim Casto gave his colt the workout this weekend, as he drove it to a runner-up position in Tremec True Street, and also placed Second in both the True Street Quick 8 and the True Street bracket class-not bad for a Pony that averaged 9.36 seconds over three back-to-back runs. Brighton, Michigan's Larry... Brighton, Michigan's Larry Massolia faced some stiff competition in the Saleen Speedlab Street Stang class with the ever-deadly Tom Conrad Jr. and Jim D'Amore III both contending. Massolia moved past Mentor, Ohio's Tom Bowens to face off against Conrad, who took out D'Amore's screaming yellow Saleen in Round 1. In the final, Conrad took a slight advantage at the start, but Massolia's 306-powered '84 coupe ran 11.909 on the 11.90 dial-in, while Conrad broke out. Mac Sibley made the haul from... Mac Sibley made the haul from the Lone Star State to compete in the Borla Street Bandit class, and it was worth the journey, as Sibley ran a dead-on 10.608 on his 10.60 index to take the win on Sunday. This win keeps him ahead of Tom Conrad Jr., who Sibley dispatched in Round 3. With this win, Sibley maintains a 30-point lead over Conrad in the championship points standings. Rosharon, TexaS, resident... Rosharon, TexaS, resident Paul Gamino had bad luck in Ultra Stang in the first round, but he fared much better in JDM Tough Truck, as he piloted a Saleen F-150 to the final round, pitting him against Bob Dill. Gamino was on from the time the bulbs turned, taking a decent holeshot and then winning the double breakout at the top end of the track. The Harland Sharp-sponsored... The Harland Sharp-sponsored Mod Comp bracket class features some of the toughest competitors. While the Pickering family currently holds the top two points positions in the championship, Jon H. and Jon M. Pickering were both first-round meat in Norwalk. Knoxville, Tennessee's Shane Williams took advantage of two red lights by competitors to take the final-round victory with his 281-powered Mustang. This win moved him closer to Jim Fitzgerald, who currently rests in Third Place in the points race. The UPR Products car show... The UPR Products car show had something for everyone, from vintage to late-model, and even a combination of the two. We leave you with William... We leave you with William Nagy's hellacious burnout at the wheel of his Mustang GT. Nagy averaged a 12.75 in True Street competition.
