True Street is about having fun, and James Brand was doing just that with his '83 T-bird. The home-built ride features a warmed-over 302-based engine and mid-12-second times.  A Former cover car, Mike Biggs'...  A Former cover car, Mike Biggs' '88 Mustang LX was flying with an 11.12 average. The 351 Windsor gets a whiff of laughing gas, and Biggs bangs gears with a Tremec five-speed.  Maryanne Parker blasted to...  Maryanne Parker blasted to a 13.65 average in her '92 Mustang GT.  Two jugs of nitrous oxide...  Two jugs of nitrous oxide is always better than one.  Tony Serno grabbed the 13-second...  Tony Serno grabbed the 13-second bracket with an average of 13.00 from his '94 T-bird.  All competitors are required...  All competitors are required to make a 30-mile cruise on the public streets, and they are escorted by the police and NMRA officials. Some completed the tour without incident, while others didn't finish the cruise. The cruise is one of the greatest parts of the MM&FF True Street Challenge-just think about driving with 80-plus cars and having entire towns watch as the parade passes by.
