The good news for David Parrish was that he made it to the semifinals in Street Bandit. The bad news was his clean '88 Mustang GT was busted up in a top-end incident with first-round opponent Jason Castelli and his '03 Cobra. While both cars were pretty well thrashed, both Parrish and Castelli walked away without injury.

Willie Waddy piloted his orange notchback to the Street Bandit win over final-round opponent James Colley. Waddy utilized a 408ci Windsor engine backed by a C4 Dynamic transmission to slay the competition. To show everyone you can still win a heads-up class on motor alone, Waddy turned off the car's juice system for the weekend. Talk about brave.

The trophy dash in Street Stang saw James Meredith (near lane) gun down Tom Conrad's notchback. A better reaction time and a closer run to the 12.50 Street Stang class index gave him the win.

The '04 Cobra of Dan Schondeck (near lane) lined up against the '88 Mustang of Samuel Vincent as the pair duked it out for the Street Renegade win. Schondeck earned the win easily when Vincent broke.

Why couldn't I have this sort of thing when I was a kid? It sure as heck beats that Barbie Corvette that terrorized my neighborhood.

The Pro final saw side-by-side six-second times come up on the scoreboards. Fortunately for winner Chuck Samuel, the win light was lit on his side.

Reggie Burnette (far lane) tangled with Charlie McCulloch for the money in Mod Comp. With only 0.001 second separating the two in reaction time, it was Burnette posting the win with a 12.58-second effort.
