The National Mustang Racing Association (NMRA) starter is right around the corner where serious competitors participate in the 20th-annual Nitto Tire Spring Break Shootout at Bradenton Motorsports Park’s freshly-paved drag strip. To launch the racing weekend off right, we hold our traditional Spring Break-style party at the local Hooters on Friday night, March 7, 2014. There isn’t a whole lot better than wings, beer, Hooters girls, Mustangs, and burnouts!
This legendary Hooters party starts at sundown and brings both racers and fans together for a night of letting loose. Also, Brand Managers from Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords and 5.0 Mustang & Super Fords will be there checking out the scene. Put your game face on hold and let loose with a good crew and good brew before curing that hangover with the fresh scent of burnt rubber and race fuel.
Randy Seward, 2013 True Street winner
The staging lanes are waiting at Bradenton Motorsports Park the following day for qualifying in the largest all-Ford drag racing event series – the NMRA Keystone Drag Race Series – which includes Street Outlaws with 6-second Mustangs capable of over 200mph and other heads-up and index-based categories.
Saturday brings the TREMEC True Street category presented by Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords where over 100 Mustangs and Fords run a 30-mile cruise before three consecutive runs on the strip. The results determine who will compete in the Blow-By-Racing-sponsored Spring Break Shootout category on Sunday. There can only be one winner who will be crowned and titled the best street-legal Mustang in existence.
