The "Surf Wagon" was a styling collaboration between Chris Brown Auto Design and Barry White's Street Rod Repair Company. Several prominent aftermarket companies were involved with mechanical upgrades. Also, Body Glove joined the party, supplying its familiar logo on wetsuit material for the seats, which were re-covered by Gabe's Custom Auto Interiors.

One of hot rodding's most significant cars from the formative years of the hobby was certainly the ex-Doane Spencer 1932 Ford highboy roadster, now owned by noted collector, Bruce Meyer. Following its meticulous restoration by Pete Chapouris's So-Cal Speed Shop, it won the coveted Dean Batchelor Award at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 1997.

Noted hot rod builder, Bobby Alloway, crafted Kathy Lange's fabulous '57 Thunderbird. A few of its features include '55 T-Bird bumpers, a stretched wheelbase, Art Morrison chassis, a supercharged 302, Tremec 5-speed, and Paul Atkins interior. Its soft silver DuPont colorcoat added a subtle, yet stunning appearance.
